5K RUN/WALK

Joshua's Wish 5K Run/Walk for a Cure puts the fun of physical activity and awareness for a cure all together for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. All of our supporters, both young and old, gather outside to raise awareness for childhood cancer by participating in a 5K Run/Walk. We have games for the kids and photo booths for everyone. Participants receive a cool race packet that includes a t-shirt designed by our very own volunteers. Our community sponsors and partnerships makes it possible for us to provide food, fun, and entertainment to all of our race participants. Our 2020 race was our first ever virtual event, where participants ran or walked anytime and anywhere and sent photos of their personal race. Even though these changes were made for COVID-19 safety precautions, we were able to break records and raise more funding for childhood cancer research. Every year, we raise thousands of dollars from our Race for a Cure that goes directly to brain tumor research programs across the country.
